After Indonesia and Mexico, South Africa has been next in line for China HomeLife's 2022 trade fairs. It is a much-awaited opportunity to meet after three years of restricted contact. From November 15 to 17, Chinese companies had the chance to establish and create connections in the South African market.
China HomeLife has opened its doors to South Africa before. Since 2014, over a thousand exhibitors and 15,000 visitors have been drawn to the event. In this edition, 450 exhibitors display a variety of 7,500 products.
The Gallagher Convention Centre served as a business hub for both countries for the November 2022 expo. It has about 6,000 square meters of space, ideal for exhibitors to display their products.
The key products showcased throughout the event were textiles and garments, machinery, lighting, lighting, decor materials, cosmetics goods, and vehicle parts.
China HomeLife Africa also featured a variety of home-related products at the expo. Some of these were consumer electronics, electrical appliances, furniture, construction materials, and other household goods.
Mesa Shower, a manufacturer of sanitary goods, was among the event attendees. They are one of the many companies that made great deals with African dealers and traders.
Their wide range of goods was presented to the South African market and was well received. They exhibited some shower accessory samples, which sold out and raised people's interest.
Mesa Shower's products are expertly crafted with quality thanks to its more than 17 years of manufacturing experience. They have also exported to over 90 countries while maintaining the necessary certifications.
Each of their products is designed with the customer's preference and quality in mind. They ensure that clients are cared for at every step of building a successful business.
This year's event has also proved to be better and more significant than the previous editions. The expo generated more than $400 million worth of deals by the end of the second day.
The Meorient International Exhibition's chief operations officer, Binu Pillai, made some salient remarks. He said that the show was better than expected. There were over 4,000 visitors per day, more than the anticipated 2,500 to 3,000 visitors daily.
In addition, Pillai said that the program served as a venue for the African business community to find Chinese suppliers without traveling too far.
Event visitors came from around South Africa's provinces. People from nearby countries, such as Zimbabwe, Namibia, and Swaziland, have also visited.
The traditional leader, King Themba Solomon Mazibuko, was one of the show's visitors. He stressed the importance of encouraging and being open to more Chinese investment.
Mazibuko believes that having business relations overseas can create a better economy. The built connections can address the country's poverty and unemployment. Through job opportunities and skills transfer, the ties will prove beneficial.
Exhibitors and visitors alike were pleased with the event. The expo allowed the business people to know better their potential partners.
